The EIU men’s golf team is headed to the 2017 OVC Men’s Golf Championship which will take place April 24-26 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. EIU looks to break into the top three for the first time, with a best finish of fourth place happening in both 2001 and 2003. Sophomore Alvaro Hernandez will look to carry his momentum from his second place finish Western Illinois Beu Mussato Invitational into the Championship. UT-Martin will attempt to defend their title from last season, with Jacksonville State challenging as the top team average in the conference.
